Default theme feature in WhatsApp

WhatsApp, the world’s most popular messaging app, always keeps introducing new features to provide a better experience to its users. Recently, an interesting feature has been spotted in development in the latest beta version. Yes, we are talking about the Default theme feature in WhatsApp!

So, what is this default theme feature in WhatsApp and how can it change your WhatsApp experience? Come, let us know about this in detail in this blog.

What is the default theme feature in WhatsApp?

The default theme feature will allow users to change the background and color scheme of their WhatsApp chats. As of now, there is no special customization option available on WhatsApp. The color of the user interface remains green. But, with this new feature, users will get the freedom to choose the color of their choice.

How was the Default theme feature in WhatsApp spotted?

This feature was first tracked by a website named WABetaInfo, which keeps an eye on the upcoming features of WhatsApp. He saw this feature during development in the latest iOS beta version (v24.11.10.70). This means that this feature is not available for use right now, but it may be rolled out for beta testers in the future.

How will the Default theme feature in WhatsApp work?

According to the screenshot shared by WABetaInfo, the default theme feature can be accessed through a new chat theme picker in the Settings menu. In this, users will get many color options, from which they can choose the color of their choice. According to the information received so far, users can get the option to choose at least these five colors:

  • Green (Current Default)
  • Blue
  • Gray
  • Red
  • Purple

When you choose a color, it will change not only the color of the chat bubbles, but also the color scheme of the entire chat background.

Additionally, WhatsApp’s signature doodle on the chat background will also match the chosen color theme.
